Reclaiming Our Collective Power
A Free Community Conversation on Leadership, Harm & Accountability
With Kazu Haga
December 3, 2026
11am-12:15pm PT | 2-3:15pm ET
In the wake of revelations of harm involving respected teachers and leaders, many of us are grappling with grief, disillusionment, and difficult questions about power, trust, and accountability.
Francis Weller was among the guest speakers in our Spring Fierce Vulnerability Kinship Lab. Recent reports of sexual misconduct involving Francis have prompted reflection and community conversations in the greater healing, grief and social activism communities. While we were not involved in the circumstances surrounding these reports and cannot speak to their specifics, we recognize the seriousness of the concerns raised and the impact on those directly affected.
After our own reflections, we decided to offer a free gathering, not to focus on any one individual or incident, but to explore the broader cultural patterns and structures that allow harm to occur—and our collective responsibility to create something different.
Some questions we’ll explore together in this gathering…
→ How do we honor the wisdom and gifts of leaders without giving away our own power?
→ How do we hold people accountable while remaining rooted in compassion and care?
→ What might community look like when power is shared rather than concentrated?
Join us in a community conversation
This gathering is an invitation to reflect together on how we can move toward cultures of shared leadership, mutual accountability, and collective care.
Rather than looking to any one teacher or leader for answers, we'll draw on the wisdom, experiences, and questions we each bring.
This is an invitation not just to talk about change, but to begin practicing a different way of being together.
